Deputies: Woman wrote check for bond before domestic violence attack
NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Deputies in Newberry County say they found a check a woman had written before allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a knife.
Saundra Gary of Little Mountain was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature for the attack that occurred on Reunion Drive on October 14th. Deputies were called to the house for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies say they found the victim hiding outside the house with a stab wound.
The man was taken to the hospital, discharged the next day and is expected to recover.
The man told deputies Gary invited him to the house because she had something for him. When he walked into the house, the victim told deputies Gary stabbed him in the side.
Deputies say in the bedroom, they found a check Gary had written before they arrived. The check was for her bond.
A judge set Gary's bond at $5,000. There is no word if the check covered the bond.
