Furry Friends Friday - Carper

Carper is a 3-year-old Terrier mix available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline’s Shelter Diversion program.

Carper recently showed up at a kind lady’s home scared and starving. She took him in and has been trying to find him a loving home, but her declining health and ongoing hospitalizations now make it difficult to give Carper the care he needs.

Even though he had a rough start to life, Carper is a super sweet, 60-pound ball of love! He bonds very closely with his humans and can’t wait to have a family of his own. He enjoys being outside, going for walks, playing ball and car rides. He also loves snuggling and simply being near his people.

Carper is a smart boy and already knows some great basic commands. He does great with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playing with them.

Due to lack of proper care in his earlier life, Carper is heartworm positive. He has already started the highly successful slow-kill treatment which Pawmetto Lifeline will cover until he tests negative! Other than that, he is a healthy, 60-pound boy!

You can meet Carper this Friday and Saturday, August 14 & 15, at Pawmetto Lifeline during walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are also available for approved adopters during the week. Carper’s reduced adoption fee of $50 includes his neuter, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.

Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption.
