Furry Friends Friday - Leo

[Original Airdate: 8/7/2026]

Leo is a 12-year-old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline’s Shelter Diversion Program.

Leo has had a loving family his entire life. However, heartbreaking medical allergies in the household have forced his family to make the difficult decision to find Leo a new home.

Leo is a super sweet, friendly boy who has never met a stranger. Don’t let his age fool you. Leo is still young at heart and always up for an adventure. He loves hiking, long walks, playing fetch, and spending time with his people. After the fun is over, he’s happiest curled up beside you on the couch.

Leo is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has excellent manners in the home. He knows sit, stay, and shake! He’s lived with both a large Lab mix and a tiny Yorkie and has been a wonderful canine companion. Leo has even lived with cats before and did great with them.

If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion who’s equal parts adventure buddy and couch cuddler, Leo is ready to meet you.

Leo’s reduced adoption fee of $50 includes his neuter, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.
