Furry Friends Friday - Armin

Armin is an 11-month-old Akita/Chow mix available for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Armin is a handsome 70-pound boy with lots of love to give. He can be a little aloof when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly—especially if you have some yummy treats to offer!

This fun-loving boy loves playing with toys, especially a good game of tug with rope toys. He has also recently discovered the kiddie pools at Pawmetto Lifeline, and now splashing around in the water is his favorite activity!

True to his Akita and Chow heritage, Armin is a very smart dog. He already knows basic commands like “sit” and “down,” and he’s eager to learn even more with positive reinforcement and tasty rewards. He has also done well walking on-leash!

Armin has not been directly dog-tested yet, but he has shown very friendly, tail-wagging interactions with other dogs through the fence. If you already have a dog, he’d love to meet them for a playdate to see if they’re a good match.

Armin will thrive with an active family that can provide continued training, consistency, regular exercise, and plenty of love. Armin would do well in a home with older children who have experience interacting respectfully with dogs.

You can meet Armin this Friday and Saturday, July 17 & 18, at Pawmetto Lifeline during walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are also available for approved adopters during the week. Armin’s reduced adoption fee of $50 includes his neuter, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.
