Lucy is a 2-year-old Weimaraner mix available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline’s Shelter Diversion Program.

Lucy was found as a stray a couple months ago with her puppies, and now she’s ready to find a forever family of her own. At around 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion.

Lucy is a super sweet, energetic girl who loves people. She’s a true “velcro” dog who will happily follow you from room to room. She will curl up in your lap whenever she gets the chance. She enjoys car rides and loves going on adventures! She loves to be outside and chase tiny critters around like birds or squirrels.

Lucy is housetrained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is learning basic commands. She’s doing great with “sit” and is treat-motivated when learning new things.

Lucy has done well with both large and small dogs and has also been friendly with cats. She would do best with an active family that can provide plenty of exercise and companionship. She would do well with children if they are comfortable around an energetic dog.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will be your shadow, cuddle buddy, and adventure partner, Lucy is ready to meet you!

You can meet Lucy this Friday and Saturday, July 10 & 11, at Pawmetto Lifeline during walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are also available for approved adopters during the week. Lucy’s reduced adoption fee of $50 includes her spay, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.

Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina.
