Furry Friends Friday - Mae

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Mae is a 3-year-old Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline’s Shelter Diversion Program, which helps community members with the rehoming of stray or personal pets.

Mae’s family loves her very much, but is no longer able to provide the time and attention she deserves, due to sudden life changes. She is a happy, sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores humans! She loves being right by your side, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, snuggling in bed, or just following you from room to room.

She truly thrives on companionship and gets excited to meet new people and other dogs. Mae has a playful side, too—she loves to run zoomies around the yard a couple of times a day to burn off her energy. Once she’s gotten her wiggles out, she’s more than ready to relax and soak up all the affection she can get.

Mae is housetrained, crate-trained, and has great manners in the home. She’s a smart and loyal girl who is treat-motivated and eager to please. She already knows some great basic commands like “sit” and “lie down”.

Mae would do best in a home where she gets plenty of love and attention. She would do wonderfully with another dog that likes to play. Mae has also lived with a cat for over a year. They get along well and even play together! Mae always lets the cat be the boss.

More than anything, Mae is looking for a family who wants a constant companion—a loving dog who will be by your side through everything.

You can meet Mae at Pawmetto Lifeline this Friday & Saturday, March 20 & 21, during walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment during the week. Her reduced adoption fee of $50 includes her spay, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines. Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina.
