Furry Friends Friday - Chance
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Chance is an 11-month-old Terrier mix available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline’s Shelter Diversion program, which helps community members with rehoming of stray or personal pets.
Chance was found by a Good Samaritan about three months ago, alone in an apartment stairwell. He had no microchip and no one ever came looking for him. His finder is now taking great care of him while he waits for his forever family!
Chance has a gentle, sweet nature. He may be a little shy when he meets someone new but give him a treat, and he is suddenly your best friend forever! He is a true cuddle bug who loves being close to his people. Chance is an easygoing fellow who enjoys the simple things in life — rolling in the grass, exploring outside, relaxing in his crate, and soaking up attention and snuggles. And when he really likes you, he’ll happily flop onto his back on the floor to get comfortable. It’s his way of saying he trusts you!
Chance has beautiful blue eyes! He was born with microphthalmia, which means one of his eyes didn’t fully develop. It affects his vision some, but it does not slow him down! He is very confident and observant, which helps him learn new environments quickly. Chance is also neutered and heartworm negative!
Chance would be a great fit for a family home. He is a very smart boy who is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. He has a calm, loyal temperament that makes him easy to handle and easy to love. Chance is wonderful with other dogs and absolutely fantastic with kids of all ages!
