Furry Friends Friday - Avona

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Avona is a 4-month-old German Shepherd mix puppy available for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Pawmetto Lifeline rescued Avona from a local municipal shelter where she had been exposed to a puppy with parvovirus. Thankfully, she tested negative upon arrival and has stayed healthy. Now, she patiently waits for her forever home.

Avona is a sweet little puppy with a big heart. She loves being close to humans and happily snuggles whenever she gets the chance. If you are looking for a Velcro puppy, she is your girl. One of her favorite things is burrowing under blankets to stay warm and cozy.

Avona enjoys running in the yard, playing with toys, and soaking up the sunshine on the patio. Avona adores other dogs, especially her big foster brothers. She loves to play with them and follow them around. She even mimics their actions sometimes. If one of them shakes their head, she shakes hers too! It is as adorable as it sounds.

At night, Avona is a wonderful sleeper. She settles calmly in her x-pen and sleeps through the night. Her potty training is improving every day. She already knows how to sit and listens well.

You can meet Avona at Pawmetto Lifeline this Saturday, February 14 during walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Her reduced adoption fee of $100 includes her spay, microchip and up-to-date vaccines. Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina.
