Two arrested in Sumter County after traffic stop leads to chase
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) announced the arrest of two people following a chase with deputies.
SCSO says Joe Isaac and DaQuan Richardson each face charges for possession with intent distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Richardson faces additional charges for failure to stop for blue lights and driving under suspension.
Deputies say they initiated a stop when they saw a vehicle with its high beam lights on that failed to dim its lights.
During the stop, the driver, identified as Richardson, tried to drive away.
Both Richardson and Isaac were apprehended after the chase
Deputies said they searched the vehicle, where they found illegal drugs and more than 10,000 dollars in cash.
According to SCSO, Richardson and Issac were sent to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. Richardson was released on bond, while Isaac’s bond was denied.

- Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
Charges for Richardson:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Failure to Stop for Blue Light
- Driving Under Suspension
