Furry Friends Friday - Aspen

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Aspen is a 4-month-old kitten available for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Aspen is a beautiful and brave girl with three legs and a heart full of courage. She came to Pawmetto Lifeline with a severely broken leg, and it was suspected she had been hit by a car. Despite everything she’s been through, Aspen never stopped being joyful. Don’t let her tripod status fool you—when she runs, she flies!

Aspen is playful, fearless, and full of love for life. She adores attention and enjoys cuddles! She loves being near her people and will happily melt into your arms. She also enjoys playful zoomies that are sure to make you smile.

Aspen was exposed to another cat that tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), a virus that only affects cats and can weaken the immune system. Due to her exposure, Aspen has had to live in quarantine out of an abundance of caution. She can be re-tested in April, and the medical team is very hopeful she will test negative! Aspen is healthy, symptom-free, and thriving! These precautions are simply in place to ensure accurate testing and the best possible care.

Aspen absolutely loves other cats and enjoys having feline friends. Because of her FeLV exposure, it’s important to keep this in mind when considering a home with other cats. She did have kitty friends, but they have since been adopted. Now she spends her days a little lonely, waiting for companionship again.

Aspen is considered a “Priority Pet” which comes with lots of great perks through Pawmetto Lifeline! She receives one free annual exam, all annual vaccines at no cost, and any medications she may need in her lifetime at cost plus 10%!

You can meet Aspen at Pawmetto Lifeline during walk-in adoption hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment during the week. Aspen’s adoption fee of $25 includes her spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccines and “Priority Pet” lifetime benefits! Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina.
