Furry Friends Friday - Oso
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Oso is a 5-year-old “Pocket Bully” -- a shorter, stockier version of a Pit Bull.
Oso is “oh so cute!” His owner was no longer able to care for him. Oso has been passed around through a few temporary homes since then, but is ready to find the family he is meant to be with forever!
Don’t let his tough bulldog look fool you… Oso is a tank of love and a softy at heart! His little tongue sticks out often. He has the silliest snorts, cutest underbite, and an adorable low-rider body frame. Despite his short stature, Oso weighs a solid 65 pounds.
Oso is super sweet, gentle, and friendly. He has never met a stranger! Oso enjoys getting lots of attention, belly rubs, and treats. He loves to make people smile and will gladly be your daily dose of serotonin. Oso is a very easygoing guy. His name means “bear” in Spanish, and he is definitely a cuddly teddy bear.
Oso is very playful, especially with dogs! He walks well on a leash and is potty trained. Oso is fantastic with children but cannot be around cats.
Oso is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He tested positive for heartworms when he first arrived in August. Since then, he has been on the proven “slow-kill” medication and is on track to be heartworm-free in the spring.
You can meet Oso this Friday and Saturday during Pawmetto Lifeline’s walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment during the week. Oso has a reduced adoption fee of $50! Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org/adoption. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina.
