Furry Friends Friday - Charley

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Charley is a 1-year-old Terrier mix available for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Charley was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan. His owners were contacted, but sadly, never came to get him. Sweet boy Charley deserves a forever family that will love him unconditionally and never leave him!

Charley is a goofy, big-hearted fellow with adorable floppy ears and endless enthusiasm for life. He’s full of personality and will keep you smiling every day. Charley is a true entertainer—the more you laugh, the sillier he gets! Charley loves to play! When he first arrived, he didn’t even know what toys were, but now he’s making up for lost time! He loves to carry around pinecones and sticks, even on his walks. Charley can keep himself entertained for hours with big chew bones. He weighs around 42 pounds and is in great health.

Charley is a very smart boy! He’s come a long way in just a month with his foster mom and is eager to keep learning. Chicken is the way to his heart, and he’s super treat-motivated—perfect for continued training! Charley already knows “sit,” “down,” and “touch.” He’s crate-trained and potty-trained. He is also not destructive in the house or with his toys. Charley does well with clear boundaries, consistency, and patience. Charley’s adopter will receive a free one-hour training session with Krista from Positive K9 Solutions in Lexington.

Charley will be a loving, loyal family companion and best friend. Because he gets playful and bouncy when everyone’s excited, he’d do best with older, dog-savvy kids. He enjoys playing with other dogs and could do well with a cat that doesn’t mind his excitement and playfulness.

You can meet Charley this Friday and Saturday (November 7 & 8) during Pawmetto Lifeline’s walk-in adoption hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment during the week. Charley’s reduced adoption fee of $50 includes his neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines.
