(New York-AP) May 28, 2006 - Another passenger has gone missing from a Caribbean cruise ship.

Carnival Cruise Lines says its Carnival Legend vessel was en route from the British Virgin Islands to New York when one passenger reported seeing another jump overboard.

The ship was diverted for 12 hours while a search took place. The Coast Guard sent a C-130 airplane crew to help look for the missing guest. Carnival says after 12 hours without finding the guest, the Coast Guard sent the cruise ship on its way to New York, where it docked this evening.

Carnival did not identify the missing passenger.

Earlier this month, Daniel DiPiero of Canfield, Ohio, a passenger on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, fell overboard from the Mariner of the Seas after a night of heavy drinking. He remains missing.
