At about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a shots fired call at Auto Doctors located at 56 S. Pike Road East in Sumter County. Once on the scene, a male victim was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The Sumter County Coroner identified the victim as Sharmine Pack, 34, of Sumter.

Investigators say witnesses at the scene said the shooter drove up and moments later they heard gunshots. None of the witnesses heard any arguing before the shooting.

Officials say that they are certain this was an isolated incident and do not believe the public is in any danger.

An autopsy for Pack will be scheduled for a later date in Newberry.
