Troopers arrest shooting suspect

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) – A 24-year-old man accused in a Saturday morning shooting of an Orangeburg man was arrested Tuesday by the South Carolina Highway patrol.
Sheriff's department spokesperson Keisa Peterson said David Zeigler III was arrested without incident around 8:00 a.m. He was wanted for attempted murder and several other charges.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said, "The male victim and his girlfriend had been arguing in their home earlier Saturday morning when Zeigler stepped in. Zeigler and the victim continued to argue until the girlfriend asked Zeigler to leave. Zeigler returned later Saturday morning and shot the male victim once in the abdomen."
The victim is listed in stable but serious condition.
