COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Summer-like heat and humidity returns this week as highs climb into the mid-90s.

First Alert Summary:
Good morning! Starting today, our forecast pattern once again turns summer-like. After a brief break from the heat, it’ll pick up this afternoon. Under a partly to mostly cloudy sky, high temperatures reach the low-90s.

As we reach the peak heat of the day, a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. For most of us, it’ll stay dry all day.

Summer-like heat and humidity will continue to strengthen as a ridge of high pressure builds in over the Carolinas. Later this week, high temperatures reach the mid-90s. Factoring in the humidity, “feels-like” temperatures will climb back into the triple digits.

Heading into this weekend, summer-like heat and humidity will continue. High temperatures will reach the mid-90s. Sunday, a weak wave of energy will pass by, bringing us a chance for thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Highs in the low-90s.
Tonight: A few passing clouds throughout the night. Lows in the mid-70s.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Highs in the mid-90s.
Friday: Mostly sunny. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Highs in the mid-90s.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Highs in the mid-90s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, followed by a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Chance of rain 40%. Highs in the mid-90s.
