RCSD: 1 dead, 1 injured in Eastover shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Eastover on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies responded around 3 pm to the 100 block of John Ammons Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found two men with gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead on the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation remains active. WIS will have more information when it becomes available.
