Ringling’s ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ circus show arrives in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The circus is coming to town!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s reimagined circus show “The Greatest Show on Earth” has arrived in the Capital City for five live performances on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets initially went on sale back in August 2024.
The scheduled shows are as follows:
- Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 9 at 12 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 9 at 4 p.m.
The company said the two-hour show features 75 performers in over 50 circus acts which include:
- A triangular highwire and crisscross flying trapeze
- A BMX bike stunt scene
- Human juggling
- The Double Wheel of Destiny, which includes four performers performing leaps and somersaults on two spinning apparatuses suspended 30 feet above ground
- Wesley, the One Wheel Wonder, the Guinness World Record-setting performer who rides world’s tallest unicycle, which is over 34 feet tall

At 6 a.m., she spoke with Skyler Miser, known as the Ringling Rocket. Skyler works as the circus' human cannonball and is soaring through the air for the first time in The Greatest Show on Earth.
At 6:30 a.m., WIS spoke with members of Argendance, a percussive folk-dance troupe from Argentina that has been with Ringling since 2023. Argendance was a semi-finalist for the fourth season of Spain’s Got Talent.
