Three arrested in Walmart parking lot purse snatching

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County sheriff's investigators have arrested three men in connection with a purse snatching at a Walmart parking lot on Tuesday morning.

Lt. Curtis Wilson says Cameron Owens, 22, Avery Harris, 18, and Jadavion Northington, 18, have all been charged with strong armed robbery.

Wilson says two men approached the woman in the store's parking lot on Two Notch Road at about 3:30 a.m. One man grabbed her purse while the other pushed her to the ground.

Wilson says the men jumped into a car driven by a third suspect. The woman gave deputies a description of the vehicle and the registration number.

Deputies spotted the vehicle and after a short chase, two of the three suspects were arrested. The third suspect remains at large. Deputies did not give a name or description of the person.

Wilson says the woman suffered minor scrapes.
