Lexington Police say two more arrests have been made in connection with a shooting at a graduation party Saturday morning.

Earlier this week, Lexington Police arrested 18-year-old Quentin Cortez Jerry of Monetta and sent him to the Lexington County Detention Center on an attempted murder charge.

On Tuesday, Jayquan Sharod Holmes, 18, of Monetta, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to attempted murder. A 16-year-old was taken into custody and transferred to DJJ on the same charge.

Police say Jerry shot 18-year-old Frederick Donovan Byrd during the party on Allen Street in Lexington. Officials believe Byrd was not the intended target in this case.

Byrd, investigators say, was transported to Palmetto Health Richland with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

There is no word on Byrd's condition. He was set to graduate from high school this past weekend.

"[Byrd] had already met the requirements for graduation but did not get to walk across the stage, LHS administrators and a teacher went to the hospital after graduation and took his diploma to him and to his parents," read a statement from Lexington District One.

An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing as a motive has not yet been established.
