Two teens hurt at graduation party shooting

Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) are investigating after a teenager was found dead after a shooting in Richland County.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is looking into a stabbing at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center that left an inmate injured.

Officials said there were no reports of earthquakes and no atmospheric conditions conducive to this. Officials add It could be from shooting Tannerite (exploding targets), but the sound carry could be possible due to low cloud cover.

Investigators say the victim was shot in the upper body area by someone he knows. The suspect was taken into custody and the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the victim as 45-year-old Gary Anthony Kelly II. According to the Coroner, Mr. Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the head.
