SLED agent charged with assault and battery resigns

(Greenville) November 2, 2006 - A South Carolina State Law Enforcement Agent has resigned after he was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
The Lexington City Police Department arrested Donald Douglas Ross, 54, of Greenville. He is accused of slapping Catherine Marie Duncan in the face.
Ross was arrested at about 11:30am Thursday. He has been employed as an agent with SLED for the past 15 years and was assigned to the Alcohol Licensing Unit.
At the time of the incident, he was on annual leave from SLED.
