COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - If you purchased a ticket for last weekend's Marshall-South Carolina game that was canceled, there's good news.
The USC Athletics Department announced Wednesday that fans will receive full game ticket price refunds.
"I appreciate our fans' patience through the process of canceling the football game on September 15th," said South Carolina athletics director Ray Tanner. "We are looking to replace the canceled game with another game to be played later this season."
Fans who purchased through the USC Athletics ticket office will receive their refund by mail by mid-November. Fans who bought their tickets from Ticketmaster or associated outlets will get their refund information from that source. Any tickets bought through any other point of purchase should contact their point of purchase directly.
Season ticket holders on a payment plan will receive credit for the Marshall game which will be applied to their remaining balance.
Officials are still working to find a new opponent for the Gamecocks to play in order to replace the canceled game. If a game is added, the athletics department will provide ticket information once it becomes available.
