CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Great PeeDee river in Cheraw is experiencing flooding and water levels are expected to increase by tomorrow.
The sheriff said that about another 11 feet of water is expected to come down from North Carolina at some point tomorrow.
With the water continuing to rise officials said they're highly recommending nearby residents to evacuate by 9 p.m. tonight.
Areas of concern are Wallace which is in Marlboro county along with neighborhoods here in Cheraw.
Because of the current flooding, officials said there isn't much they or crews can do at this time.
If you live in an area vulnerable to flooding, officials are urging those to play it safe and evacuate.
