First Lady of SC visits Hurricane Florence shelter in Richland County

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The First Lady of South Carolina stopped visited one of the open shelters in the Midlands for Hurricane Florence evacuees.

In a tweet posted to Twitter on Friday by Dr. Otasha Morgan, the Lead School Counselor for Richland 2 School District, Mrs. Peggy McMaster was seen at the Red Cross shelter at Ridge View High School.

Dr. Morgan said Mrs. McMaster was impressed by the support for the kids impacted by Tropical Storm Florence in the Richland Two School District.

Mrs. McMaster replied to Dr. Morgan's tweet saying, "It was my honor to be there today and meet all you. Thank you for selflessness and good-neighbor hospitality for these precious families."
