Coroner: Man dies in Wedgefield after vehicle struck by train

WEDGEFIELD, SC (WIS) - A 79-year-old man has died after his vehicle was struck by a train on Thursday.
The Sumter County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Sidney Jackson. According to officials, the accident occurred in Wedgefield.
At this time, details on how the collision occurred have not been released. However, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Sumter County Sheriff's Office are investigating the accident.
