(WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department is requesting the community's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

Deputies responded to a robbery alarm on Monday, Sept. 10 at the Shell Station on North Main Street around 10 p.m.

Deputies made contact with two employees who stated that a black male entered the store and approached the register with a soda in hand as if he were going to purchase it.

Once the suspect set the soda down, he reached under his shirt claiming to have a handgun and told the victims that if they did not give him the money in the register in three seconds, that he would shoot them. The man then started to count down from three. After the victims complied and handed the man the money, he fled the scene.
