(WIS) - After being honored in both his home state of Arizona and in the nation's Capitol this week, Sen. John McCain will be laid to rest on Saturday in a manner befitting his military service.
The military veteran, who passed away seven days ago on Aug. 25 after battling brain cancer, was 81 years old.
Funeral services are set to begin at 10 a.m. with an NBC News Special Report beginning at 9 a.m.

He will be laid to rest at U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery following a funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
Former President George W. Bush and former President Barack Obama are expected to be in attendance and give eulogies at the funeral at the late senator's request.

President Donald Trump, who is in Washington, D.C., will not be in attendance, also per McCain's request before his passing.
