Everything you need to know for game day

(WIS) - The University of South Carolina Gamecock football season is upon us and there are some key things to know before heading out to the stands. Below, find a list of the basics like where to purchase tickets, how to avoid getting your car or RV towed, and how to catch a shuttle.

TICKETS
  • Tickets can be bought in person or online.
  • Digital tickets can be purchased through the official South Carolina Gameday App, which is available in the iTunes store and the Google Play store. You can pick seats, send or sell your ticket, and scan at the gate all through the app.
  • Tickets can also be purchased at the Ticket Office located at 1304 Heyward Street. This building is adjacent to the Northeast entrance of the Springs Brooks Plaza at Williams-Brice Stadium.
  • The ticket office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Rice Athletics Center. More ticket information can be found online. 
  • Keep in mind that tickets cannot be resold on any University grounds.
PARKING
  • There are several lots to choose from for game day parking. A map can be found online here.
  • The gates to lots within Gamecock Park will open six hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 a.m. All other parking lot gates will open five hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 a.m. Vehicles should be removed no later than two hours after the conclusion of the game, or risk being locked in until the following business day.
  • Gamecock Park has 200 football parking spaces available for the season. The cost of these spaces is $40 cash on a first-come, first-serve basis. The GPS address is 1001 Bluff Road.
  • Two premium areas are available for season parking. Amenities including permanent restrooms, cable, and electrical outlets are available in this area.
  • Reserved parking in Gamecock Park is sold out. Future openings will be based upon club members' non-renewals.
  • Carolina Fair Park (Fairgrounds) is located along George Rogers Blvd. and is close to the stadium. Garnet, Black, White, Blue and Green lots on the parking guide. Enter through gates 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
  • The White lot contains handicapped parking, which is sold for $290 for the season. Gamecock Club members will receive first priority on these spaces, with the Blue and Green lots being open to the general public subject to availability.
  • Fans can tailgate here for up to five hours before and two hours after games.
  • The Garnet lot is located on the corner of Bluff Road and George Rogers Blvd. You can access the Garnet lot through gates 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
  • These spaces cost $420 on row 1 and $320 on the remaining rows (2 through 7) for the season. Gamecock Club members will receive first priority, with there being minimal turnover on these spaces.
  • The Black lot is between the Garnet and White lots. You can best enter the Black lot through gates 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The Black lot contains a great atmosphere for tailgating and spaces cost $420 on row 1 and $320 on the remaining rows (2 through 9) for the season. Gamecock Club members receive first priority; again turnover for these spaces is minimal.
  • The White lot is located in the middle of the Carolina Fair Park parking lot. You can enter the White lot through gates 6, 7, 8, and 10. These spaces cost $420 on row 1 and $320 the remaining rows (2 through 9) for the season. Gamecock Club members receive first priority on these spaces; turnover for the White lot is moderate.   • Handicapped Parking is located in the White lot. The handicapped spaces are in the back right corner of the lot if facing the lot from George Rogers Blvd. The handicapped spaces will be in row 8 through 10. Although the spaces are located in the back of the White lot, the University will be running trams and shuttle services to the stadium to accommodate those who have disabilities. These spaces cost $290.
  • The Green lot is located on George Rogers Blvd along the railroad tracks. You are able to access the Green lot through gates 6, 7, and 10. These spaces cost $370 for row 13 and $290 for rows 1 through 12 for the season. Gamecock Club members receive first priority on these spaces. Gameday parking may be offered in this lot for a price TBD per game based on availability.
  • The Blue lot is located on the corner of the intersection of George Rogers Blvd. and Shop Road in the Fairgrounds. You can best access the Blue lot through Gates 6, and 7. These spaces cost $370 for row 1 and $290 for the remaining rows (2 through 13) for the season. Gamecock Club members receive first priority on these spaces. Gameday parking may be offered in this lot for a price TBD per game based on availability.

Disabled parking services:

  • Golf cart shuttle service from the Fairgrounds will be available for those with disabilities beginning 2-1/2 hours before kickoff and will continue until the game begins. The pickup location is located in the Fairgrounds white section by row 10 nearest the South Carolina State Fairgrounds entrance. The golf cart shuttles will transport guests to the north corners of Williams-Brice Stadium.
  • Golf cart shuttle service from Gamecock Park will be available for those with disabilities beginning 2-1/2 hours before kickoff and will continue until the game begins. Pickup locations are located along the Garnet Way at Quads 1 and 3. Golf cart shuttle transportation to the stadium plaza is available up to one hour prior to kickoff, or as traffic permits, at which point guests will be dropped off at the Premium North location of Gamecock Park.
  • Return transportation for those with disabilities to the Fairgrounds and Gamecock Park will also be available after the game. Return service begins with five minutes left in the event until there is no one waiting at the golf cart shuttle stations. Be advised that both pedestrian and vehicular traffic are extremely heavy following the game; therefore, the wait time for golf cart shuttles may be extensive.
  • RV Parking is available in the South Carolina State Fairgrounds located on the east side of Assembly St. and at Gate 12 on Rosewood Drive. Please call the Fairgrounds for specifics at 803-799-3387.

GAME DAY SHUTTLES
  • Shuttle service begins 3 hours prior to kickoff and costs $3 per person for a round-trip ticket. It's free to USC students with their Carolina Card.
  • Service runs until 1-1/2 hours after the game with limited service throughout the game
  • Pregame shuttle buses will pick up fans from the Colonial Life Arena parking lot and transport them to the main gate of the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. At the end of the game, the shuttle bus will pick up from the main gate of the Fairgrounds and transport patrons back to the arena.
TOWING
  • Towing of vehicles impeding the flow of traffic or obstructing the right of a member to park in assigned parking is imminent. Once a tow truck has arrived at the vehicle in violation, negotiations will be strictly between the towing company and the vehicle owner. Any towed vehicles can be recovered at City Garage located at 436 Superior Street. The phone number is 803-765-9780.

No Parking Zones

  • The University of South Carolina along with our public safety will be enforcing the NO-PARKING zones in the following areas prior to and during home football games at Williams-Brice Stadium.

TAILGATING
  • The gates to lots within Gamecock Park will open six hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 a.m. All other parking lot gates will open five hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 a.m. Vehicles should be removed no later than two hours after the conclusion of the game, or risk being locked in until the following business day.
  • Gamecock Park: Utilize the designated tent zone, which is available for each parking space. Tents should be no larger than 10' x 10' and be contained within the designated tent zone.
  • Fairgrounds: Tailgate behind your vehicle. Tents should be no larger than 10' x 10' and be contained within the individual parking space.
  • Keep in mind that unattended tents are subject to removal by University officials at their discretion. Also, drive areas must be cleared for both locations to allow access for emergency vehicles.
