One person dead in single-vehicle Fairfield County crash

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) - One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Fairfield County.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday night on Road 99, according to state troopers.
The driver has been identified by the Fairfield County Coroner's Office as 54-year-old Alphonzo Collins, of Blair, SC.
The driver ran off the road, hit a tree and was ejected from the car, SCHP says. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
