Pelion man charged with stealing church instrument

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Pelion man is being charged with second-degree burglary after an incident involving a church, according to arrest warrants.
Deputies say, Christopher Lee Williams, 33, forced his way inside Dolorosa Worship Center to steal an instrument on August 18th.
"Surveillance video captured Williams using a tool to pry the back door of the Dolorosa Worship Center open. Once inside, he took a bass guitar," Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. "Williams confessed to committing the crime and identified himself as the person on the security footage."
Williams is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
