Coroner releases identity of bicyclist killed in hit-and-run; SCHP search for fleeing driver

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the identity of the bicyclist killed in a hit-and-run yesterday.

Justin Turner, 40, was the operator of the bicycle that was struck by another vehicle in a 3-unit collision on Hardscrabble Road at Lake Carolina Boulevard on Saturday.

Turner was transported from the scene by Richland County EMS to Palmetto Health Richland where he died. An autopsy indicated the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head due to the collision.
