COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Saturday thousands walked through Main Street in downtown Columbia to help celebrate Latin Culture and the Latin community.
For 15 years the "Main Street Latin Festival" has been held on Main street to showcase food, dancing, and music.
Organizers say the event also serves as a moment to promote unity and bring people together.
"We start with one block back in 2003 and seeing this festival growing the way it is, it's a lot of satisfaction. You know, we just enjoy doing it," said event organizer Genaro Padilla. "We got different types of nationalities over here, not only Hispanics, so we all get together and enjoy a beautiful day. That's what we like to do that."
Organizers estimate they will see 10 to 20 thousand people at Saturday's event.
