RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Richland County man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for what law enforcement called a brutal sexual assault of an 85-year-old woman.
Marquille Rondale Livingston, 36, was arrested in February. On Thursday, he was sentenced, according to the Richland County Solicitor's Office.
Deputies say Livingston entered the victim's home on Brighton Hill Road and attacked her with his fists. He then "brutally sexually assaulted her repeatedly."
The victim attempted to call for help using her medical alert bracelet, however, when the agent made contact, Livingston took over the conversation and told them everything was fine.
Before he left the residence, Livingston stole cash and the victim's watch.
Deputies say DNA collected at the scene by the RCSD Crime Lab was instrumental in identifying Livingston.
Livingston's criminal history was also reviewed and listed several indecent exposure charges going as far back as 2000.
