Lexington man arrested for stealing water truck from construction site
LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - A Lexington man has been arrested and charged for stealing a water truck from a construction site, police say.
Joseph Allen Tuten, 38 of Lexington, has been charged with motor vehicle theft.
Police say on July 5, the vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of North Church Street in Lexington. The vehicle stolen was a white 2011 Ford F750 water truck that had been parked at a construction site overnight. The stolen vehicle was recovered the following day near the 1100 block of Bluefield Road in Lexington County.
The investigation revealed that a male suspect was seen driving the vehicle near the location and was also identified when a news release including surveillance images was shared by media outlets and on social media. Detectives identified Tuten and arrested him on Aug. 18.
Tuten is currently Tuten is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center with a bond of $31,087.50 for this charge along with additional charges from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
