COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A new study from WalletHub has released their list of the best cities in the Palmetto State to live in.

The list is a compilation of the following data: family life and fun, education, health, and safety, affordability, and socioeconomic for 51 South Carolina cities. It includes only the city-proper and eliminates cities in the surrounding metro areas.

WalletHub also acknowledged South Carolina's healthy housing market, its unemployment ranking, and family-friendly attractions.

The data was compiled from the U.S. Sensus Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, the FBI, the EPA, county health rankings, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Renwood RealtyTrac,, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Areavibes and WalletHub research.
