Teenage boys find decomposed body at abandoned building in Kershaw Co.

KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Deputies in Kershaw County have now determined a body discovered by two teenage boys was a murder victim.

Authorities said the two 16-year-olds found the body on August 10 at an abandoned cinderblock building near Bob Hugh Road in Jefferson. The body of the victim has been identified as 30-year-old Tykendrick Williamson. Officials believe Williamson's body was placed their several days earlier.

Investigators with KCSO and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department have been working together since Williamson was known to visit the Kershaw area of Lancaster County.  So far, officials have learned there was a physical altercation between Williamson and another black man in Lancaster County. However, no solid motive has been determined.
