COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Coroner has released the identity of the body that was found in a pond on Old Percival Road on Saturday.

The body was identified as 45-year-old Andrew Laverne Threatt. An autopsy was done on Sunday and the exact cause of Threatt's death is pending further studies, according to the coroner.

The Columbia Police Department, the Richland County Sheriff's Department, and Columbia Fire all responded to Kimpton Drive just before 1 p.m. Deputy Chief Melron Kelly with Columbia Police said the department received a call from neighbors in the area about a suspicious object floating in the pond that appeared to be a human body.

Investigators say no foul play is expected at this time.
