Ex-Swansea head coach lands job as assistant at Brookland-Cayce

CAYCE, SC (WIS) - Former Swansea head coach Greg Wright has a new job.

The former Gamecock joins Rusty Charpia's staff as the co-defensive coordinator at Brookland-Cayce. Wright was relieved of his coaching duties at Swansea back in June. Since then, Wright has filed a lawsuit against Lexington School District 4 and members of the Swansea High administration.

WIS spoke to Charpia about the hire. He stresses he has no concerns about Wright. In fact, Charpia said he feels very fortunate to add Wright to his program.

Wright previously coached at Eau Claire for a year and also worked as the assistant athletic director at Fairfield Central High from 2013 to 2015.
