Springdale woman arrested for Columbia home burglary

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Springdale Police officers have arrested a woman for a home burglary in Columbia.

Patricia Tyson, 32, was arrested in connection to an incident that happened on July 27.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Tarrytown Lane in reference to suspicious activity observed by a neighbor who thought a house was being burglarized.

Officers found Tyson lurking and obvious signs of burglary. She was arrested.

While investigating, Tyson provided a man's concealed weapon permit as her identification. Bullets and a bag of methamphetamine were found on her person.

She had more than a gram of methamphetamine, marijuana, a pistol, and numerous items that were found to have been stolen from a house in Columbia, SC during a burglary.

She was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, unlawful carry of a firearm, burglary, possession of burglary tools and financial transaction card fraud.

Tyson was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center. Investigators from Springdale are working with investigators from Columbia to return the numerous stolen items.
