(WIS) - A day after a judge cleared the way for temporary rate cuts of nearly 15 percent for SCE&G customers, two Midlands groups are saying "slow down" to the SC Public Service Commission.
At a news conference Tuesday morning, members of the Small Business Chamber of Commerce and the Coastal Conservation League spoke. They are critical of the PSC's plan to hold a single hearing in November before deciding on a permanent rate cut.
The PSC is also deciding whether Dominion Energy will be allowed to purchase SCANA.
Officials who spoke Tuesday morning say ratepayers deserve a clear accounting of costs associated with the failed VC Summer Nuclear Plant before moving forward.
