RCSD: Trio of suspects arrested in July armed robbery, chase with deputies

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department says they've arrested the third suspect in a July armed robbery that led to a chase with deputies.

The department says three men - Deshawn Jerel Carroway, Shyheim Kiwan Williams, Micaiah Green - were wanted in an armed robbery that happened on July 21 in the 6600 block of Two Notch Road. The victim told deputies that one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and he was held down and robbed. The victim also said one of the suspects hit him on the head with the gun.

When the suspect provided a description of the three suspects and the vehicle they ran off in, deputies later located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

After a brief chase, the suspects crashed a vehicle at the intersection of Risley Road and Shakespear Road, jumped out and ran from deputies.

Deputies and K-9 officers were able to catch Carroway and Williams that night. Green was arrested on July 31 with the help of the sheriff's department fugitive team and U.S. Marshals.

Carroway is being charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, kidnapping, and assault and battery. Williams is being charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. Green is being charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. The trio is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
