RCSD: One wanted 'armed and dangerous' fugitive arrested

(WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department arrested wanted fugitive 39-year-old Amos Hosey on Friday.

The Sheriff's Department announced on Thursday that they were looking for two "armed and extremely dangerous" fugitives  for attempted armed robbery, attempted murder, and weapons violations.

Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, Hosey was spotted on Highland Forest Drive in Columbia.

After a short foot chase, he was apprehended without injuries. RCSD Sheriff Leon Lott said he is proud of the citizens of Richland County and deputies working together to keep our community safe.

RCSD Fugitive Task Force is still searching for the other fugitive, Harrell Williams. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-Crime-SC.

Amos Hosey will be transported to the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center.
