(WIS) - The Newberry County Sheriff's Office said a 16-year-old girl who got lost in the woods in "unfamiliar terrain" after leaving home upset has been located.
The sheriff's department did not release the teen's name or provide a photo of her, but says both deputies and SLED agents were searching for her around the 4200 block of Bush River Road with a helicopter and bloodhounds.
The 16-year-old Hispanic teen was last seen wearing a pink button down shirt and blue jeans.
It is believed the female became upset due to a recent move and ran out of the house into surrounding fields and woods. Deputies suspect the female became lost in the unfamiliar terrain.
There was no danger to the community.
