Passenger dies after SUV crashes into parked car on I-95

CLARENDON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - One passenger has died after a sports utility vehicle collided with a car parked alongside I-95 Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the SUV carrying six people was traveling south along the I-95 around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The vehicle ran off the road near mile marker 122 and struck a parked car.
The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died from injuries suffered in the collision. The other five passengers inside the SUV were taken to a local hospital to receive medical attention.
The parked vehicle also had a person inside who sustained injuries. That motorist was also taken to a local hospital.
SCHP will continue to investigate the crash.
