Second victim in Glenn Street triple shooting incident dies from wounds

WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A second victim involved in a triple shooting at a West Columbia apartment complex on Thursday has died according to the Lexington County Coroner.

The victim was identified as Elzie Mack Jr., 41, of Gaston. Mack suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead Sunday morning.

Samir Bernard Atkins, 26, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on Thursday. A third victim who has not been identified suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

West Columbia Police are still searching for Damian Lavar Ritter, 25, in connection to the shooting. Officers say Ritter may be driving a reddish in color 2007 Chevy Tahoe with South Carolina Tag # 8839LW.
