64-year-old identified as victim recovered from Lake Murray Sunday

LAKE MURRAY, SC (WIS) - A 64-year-old man was identified as the victim in a drowning that occurred in Lake Murray on Saturday, according to the Richland County Coroner.
Henry Alexander Bass, of Cordova, SC disappeared under the water while swimming in the lake and did not resurface. South Carolina Department of Natural Resources divers recovered Bass' body on June 24 in the same area he disappeared in.
The coroner confirms Bass' death was due to asphyxiation from freshwater drowning.
SC DNR continues to investigate the incident.
