Man sentenced to 35 years in child sex abuse conviction

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison following his conviction for child sex abuse in Lexington County.

Jamie L. Stroman, 38, was convicted of two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and sentenced by Judge Robert E. Hood.

Stroman was arrested after Lexington Police opened an investigation against him in 2014. The victim disclosed long-term sexual abuse by Stroman during 2013 and 2014 when she was younger than 11-years-old. The girl, now 11, testified in the trial that Stroman committed numerous sexual assaults against her.

During the sentencing hearing, the victim thanked the judge.
