KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Kershaw County Coroner's officials say the two people shot dead at an apartment complex in Lugoff were brother and sister.

Hannasan McGhie, 38, and Maliaka Truesdale, 36, were both killed by a gunshot wound to the head, according to the coroner's office.

Sheriff Jim Matthews said the pair were found dead in the Bridle Ridge Apartments off Bouleware Road in Lugoff. Another male victim was shot in the shoulder. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and then questioned by deputies.

"I mean it's sad to hear that it happened and it's so close to home, it's right there," said George Moore, who lives in the building across from where the shooting took place.

Moore added that his neighbors told him what happened when he got home from work.

"Like I said this is a sad situation that somebody lost their life some violence," Moore added.

With the help of SLED, the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office is now looking for DNA evidence in the case. The injured survivor of the shooting was questioned by authorities after he was treated and released from the hospital.

Investigators are not calling him a suspect in the matter.
