CAYCE, SC (WIS) - The Cayce Department of Public Safety is seeking the community's help in locating three men wanted for questioning in a scam of an elderly woman.
DPS officers say on March 17 the two white males offered to pressure wash an elderly woman's home for $85. The woman agreed to have the wash done, however, after the men were finished they told her that she now owed them $1,600 for other unrequested work and repairs they performed.
The woman gave them $400 in cash and wrote a check for the remaining $1200. The check was made out to a Luis Alan McDaniel whom the victim believed to be one of the men at her house that day.
Later that day, an unidentified Hispanic male cashed the check at the BB&T located on Bush River Road.
